North Somerset Carers' Consultation

Have your Say!

On behalf of Voluntary Action North Somerset (VANs) and North Somerset Council we (The Carers' Centre for Bath and North East Somerset) are running a short consultation to understand:

  • What support unpaid carers in North Somerset need
  • The barriers you face in getting the support you need
  • How services can be improved to better support you.

It's important to us that your voices are heard so please take part - your views really matter to us.

We've also got some vouchers to give away - see below for more info!

About Us

The Carers’ Centre is an independent charity providing information, advice and support services to carers of all ages in Bath and North East Somerset. Because of our experience in working with carers, we've been commissioned by North Somerset Council to carry out this consultation.

About the Consultation

The consultation has three phases:

Phase 1 (now complete): We've been collecting information and learnings from a wide range of partner organisations across the region including Adult Social Care, the Alzheimer's Society, Curo, Alliance, Voluntary Action North Somerset, Vision North Somerset, Wren, Pier Health, social prescribers, the parent carer forum and Tyntesfield PCN

Phase 2 (until the end of December 2025): We're hearing your views, via a range of drop in sessions and through an online questionnaire (see below).

Phase 3 (Jan - March 2026): We'll be running focus groups with some of the carers who took part in phase two and are keen to get more involved

We'll be producing a report on our findings, with recommendations for North Somerset council to consider, in March 2026.
