New food garden at The Carers' Centre!

We’re excited to share that we’ve been awarded a generous grant by Bath and West Community Energy to create a new food garden!

The new food garden will be situated in our lovely community garden area at The Carers’ Centre in Bath. Visitors will be able to enjoy some time-out whilst learning to plant, grow and harvest all kinds of fresh produce.

For many people, caring can be an isolating role mainly spent indoors so we hope this new outdoor space, where people can spend time together enjoying the peaceful surroundings, will help boost their wellbeing.

Sarah Dixon, Wellbeing Services Manager, said:

"We were so thrilled and grateful to learn about the grant from Bath and West Community Energy. The new food garden will be a fantastic addition to our tranquil community garden area as we support many people who tell us they find gardening therapeutic. We look forward to welcoming them to some fantastic hands-on breaks this spring!"

Check out the upcoming gardening workshops in our activities programme.
