Chief Executive Officer, David Trumper to leave The Carers’ Centre
David Trumper, the Chief Executive Officer of Bath and North East Carers’ centre, is leaving after over a decade with the organisation.
After more than ten years with The Carers’ Centre, I have decided the time is right for me to move on. The decision to leave hasn't been an easy one after so many years, but I am reassured that this fantastic charity is well placed to grow and thrive.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated team at The Carers’ Centre, and to the unpaid carers that are at the heart of our work. I am so grateful for your support and patience, especially as we navigated the pandemic.
I am excited to see the charity go from strength to strength in the years to come.
He joined The Carers’ Centre in 2011, and successfully grew the charity, securing contracts to continue providing vital support for unpaid carers in the area.
More recently, as CEO, Trumper has led the charity through the worst of the pandemic and successfully defined a clear vision going forward.
Alison Harries, Chair of the Board of Trustees said:
I want to thank David for his exceptional commitment, hard work and passion in the cause of unpaid carers. He has been with The Carers’ Centre for over a decade, an extraordinary term of service which has seen the organisation grow and adapt to always be there for unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset.
I want to acknowledge his remarkable achievement in getting us all through the core of the Covid pandemic. The massive uncertainty that the pandemic brought was held by David with his great skills in communicating, planning and organising. His genuine concern for everyone was obvious and he held us all: our unpaid carers, our staff, our contract holders and our volunteers, including the trustees. Our gratitude is heartfelt and profound.
Trumper and the Board of Trustees are fully committed to a smooth transition period to see the next CEO into post, the recruitment process is now underway.
