Big Gig donates £1000 to young carers

The Big Gig is an annual music event organised by a group of volunteers and any profits are donated each year to very deserving charities, very kindly hosted at Paulton Rovers Football Club.

This year, the Gig's main charity was our Young Carers Service in Bath and we were incredibly grateful for the £1000 donated from the Gig this year.

This money will go towards providing support for young carers aged between 5 and 25 years of age and in particular it helped fund costs for a Pantomime trip that was attended by 250 young carers and their families.

The Big Gig Committee is a group of volunteers who initially got together with other as friends in a barn to celebrate the life of a friend who passed away. Ten years later, the Big Gig has a permanent home at Paulton Rovers Football Club and sell out to an audience of over 600 people who come to listen to local bands and have a great time.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to the committee for their hard work in putting the gig together and helping make a difference for young carers.
