Carer Money Matters
We understand that, as a carer, your own concerns often take a back seat because you’re so dedicated to looking after your loved ones.
However, we know that financial pressures can add extra stress. That’s why we’re here to offer support and guidance, helping to ease the burden.
Through our Carer Money Matters programme, we can empower you with the knowledge and tools to manage your finances confidently, making sure that your home remains safe and comfortable.
We're committed to helping you access the financial assistance you deserve, so that money becomes one less thing to worry about.
Dedicated support: Chat with Charlie!
Our dedicated Energy Advisor, Charlie, is available to talk to you, providing personalised assistance and guidance. He can help you navigate the challenges you may face, giving you a reliable source of support and information.
Alongside this, The Carers’ Centre provides useful information at carer cafés and events.

How can we help you?
Carer Money Matters is designed to help in several key areas:
Income maximisation
Get help with benefit checks, tax credits, and rebates to make sure you receive all available financial support.
Energy efficiency
We can provide free advice on energy saving and energy debt, and we can help you get on the Priority Services Register with your supplier.
Debt advice
We understand that balancing caring responsibilities and finances isn’t easy, and we can help you to access the support you need to manage and reduce debt.
Home safety
We offer workshops and one-on-one sessions to raise awareness of carbon monoxide dangers, and we distribute locking cooker valves and CO alarms to enhance safety.
We also know that many carers are either forced to leave work altogether or to reduce their paid hours because of the pressures of their caring roles. So, if you’re thinking about how to balance work and caring, we can support with things like interview practice, job searching and getting your CV into shape.
Taking care of others means taking care of yourself. So, access the help you deserve to help the people you love.
I just wanted to thank you and the team again for our Tesco vouchers, it’s really taken the pressure off during half term and made such a difference.
