Appointed November 2019
Following a career of over 40 years in management and consultancy across a wide range of organisations, Paul’s final full-time career role was as CEO for Wells Cathedral. This involved using his broad skills and experience to take a leading role in strategic and operational delivery for a diverse organisation, retiring in 2017.
With a Maths degree from Oxford, Paul’s career started in research at the Meteorological Office, where he developed technical IT skills. His career evolved to developing IT strategy and managing the resultant change to processes and, more importantly, the people that supported them. He developed cultural sensitivity from working not just in public, private and not for profit sectors in the UK, but also overseas in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and sub-Continent.
As well as at Wells Cathedral, his not for profit experience includes working at Macmillan Cancer Support as a change programme manager.
