How Volunteers Help
Befriending
Staying in regular contact with a carer through home visits, taking them out for a break or keeping in touch by telephone.
Driving
Volunteer drivers take carers to and from a whole range of activities and events organised by the Centre throughout the area.
Administration
Working in the Centre’s offices, answering the telephone and helping mail out regular communications to carers.
Fundraising
Volunteers are required who are keen to raise funds for the Centre and to help out at fundraising events.
Community Link
Helping to build contacts with the local community and distributing Carers’ Centre information to venues like doctors’ surgeries, libraries and village halls.
